The Flexpro™ or Kammprofile offers a safe, effective seal under the most exacting conditions on both standard pipework and specialist applications. It offers excellent flexibility and recovery characteristics, allowing seal integrity under pressure and temperature fluctuations, temperature differential across the flange face, flange rotation, bolt stress relaxation and creep.
The Flexpro™ or Kammprofile is comprised of concentrically serrated solid metal core with a soft, conformable sealing material bonded to each face. The soft facing material provides low stress gasket seating, while the serrated geometry of the metal core enhances sealing performance by inducing stress concentrations on the sealing surfaces. The serrations minimize lateral movement of the facing material, while the metal core provides rigidity and blowout resistance.
Thermiculite® 845 Flexpro™Flexpro™ 845 consists of a serrated metal core onto which is bonded a vermiculite based sealing face. The metallic core provides gasket rigidity and blow-out resistance while the soft Thermiculite® 845 facing provides exceptional sealing performance.

Style PN – Sealing element only
Style ZG – Sealing element with integrated outer ring
Style ZA – Sealing element with loose outer ring
Style ZA KammprofileThe Style ZA is a slight variation on the Style ZG. The integral outer locating ring is replaced by a loose fitting, independent, thinner locating ring. The loose fitting ring allows for expansion and contraction without excessive stress being induced in the solid metal core. Depending on centering ring material and thickness, the ZA may be more economical than the ZG.
The Style ZA is recommended for use on standard flat face and raised face flange assemblies.
Standard core materials are 4mm thick, while the soft gasket facings are 0.5mm thick, although these values can be adjusted to suit specific needs. Thickness of outer location ring is 1.5mm as standard.
Suitable for Class 150 to 2500 service.
Style ZG KammprofileStyle ZG is a variation of Style PN , utilizing an integral outer location ring for correct gasket positioning within the flange bolt circle or in a recess. Style ZG is recommended for use on standard raised face and flat face flange assemblies.
Standard core materials are 4mm thick, while the soft gasket facing are 0.5mm thick, although these values can be adjusted to suit specific needs. Thickness of outer location ring is 2mm as standard.
Suitable for Class 150 to 2500 service.
Style PN KammprofileStyle PN is a basic construction Flexpro™ gasket consisting of a serrated metallic core, incorporating soft gasket sealing facings. Style PN Flexpro™ are selected for use in confined locations, including male and female, tongue and groove and recessed flange arrangements.
Standard core thickness is 4mm, while soft gasket facings are usually 0.5mm thick, although these values can be adjusted to meet specific needs.
Suitable for Class 150 to 2500 service.
