THERMICULITE PRODUCTS®

Thermiculite® Critical Service Materials

Material Technology that handles it all

A breakthrough in both heat and chemical resistance, Thermiculite Critical Service materials are rated for temperatures up to 1800ºF and have passed the API 607 fire test.

Available in spiral wound and Flexpro™ (Kammprofile) facing styles, they provide safer, more cost-effective alternatives to industrial sealing problems where ultra-high heat resistance is critical; ex: oxidation of graphite in nuclear power exhaust systems.

They are suitable for replacing aramid, glass, and carbon fiber; PTFE; and graphite gaskets in a number of industrial applications.

Thermiculite® 715 Coreless Sheet Material

PERFORMANCE SERIES – Thermiculite® 715 Coreless Sheet material high-performance coreless sheet material.  Replacement of compressed fiber sheet line, SF 2401, 2420, 3300, 5000 and tanged graphite sheet.  Provides total freedom from oxidation. Broad chemical compatibility range.  Fire safe.  Genuine opportunity for gasket standardization and inventory consolidation.  Wide service capability.

Thermiculite® 715 is a superior performance sheet sealing material comprising of chemically exfoliated and thermally exfoliated vermiculite with aramid and synthetic fibres bound with a high quality nitrile rubber.

Thermiculite® 715 is a replacement for compressed fibre sheet material and tanged graphite sheet.

THERMICULITE 835 SPIRAL WOUND GASKET

Thermiculite®

835 Spiral Wound Gasket Filler Material

Developed specifically for petrochemical and chemical use. FDA compliant for both low and high bolt loads. Is non contaminating with lower creep an cold flow. A single gasket replacement for metallic and non-metallic flange applications.

Designed to replace older conventional gasket technologies including skived PTFE, semi-restructured PTFE, and restructured PTFE. Its unique composition and uniform tensile strength make it a single gasket replacement material choice for both metallic and non-metallic flange applications like glass lined, ceramic, plastic or metal.

Thermiculite® 845 FlexproKammprofile

Thermiculite® 845 is a high temperature facing material for Flexpro kammprofile gaskets.

Flexpro 845 consists of a serrated metal core onto which is bonded a
vermiculite based sealing face. The metallic core provides gasket rigidity
and blow-out resistance while the soft Thermiculite 845® facing provides
exceptional sealing performance.

Styles:
Flexpro gaskets are available in several styles with various serration profiles.

Style PN – Sealing element only
Style ZG – Sealing element with integrated outer ring
Style ZA – Sealing element with loose outer ring
