Compressed Fiber Sheet Sealing Material

The SF products are fiber reinforced, polymer bound, calendered sheet sealing materials made using traditional manufacturing techniques. A wide range of specially selected, high performance inorganic and organic fibers are used in conjunction with a polymer matrix, chosen to give the appropriate degree of chemical compatibility and sealing performance.

SF products cover a wide range of sealing applications in the general industrial, chemical and automotive sectors.

Sealing performance is product specific and engineered to encompass the widest possible combinations of temperature, pressure, chemical compatibility and seal integrity.

Temperatures from -328ºF to 887ºF can be accommodated and pressures from 2030 psi down to vacuum can be sealed using these materials.

SF range of material has been designed to give similar property profiles to traditional asbestos based products without the associated hazards to health. Special attention has been given to the following key areas:

  • Use of conventional cutting tools and techniques
  • Cutting of complex gaskets geometries
  • Handleability
  • Gasket removal – anti-stick coating SARK III is applied to all these products
